Privacy Policy
Last updated September 8, 2026
Here is the short version. If you join the Dallas Mustangs list, we collect your name, email and phone number, and we use them to send you team news. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell your information and we never share your phone number or email address with anyone for their own marketing. We run no advertising trackers on this site. You can leave the list at any time and we will stop.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you type into the signup form, plus the basic technical information any website receives when a browser loads a page.
Information you give us:
- Identifiers. Your name.
- Contact information. Your email address and phone number.
Information collected automatically:
- Internet activity. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you load, recorded in standard server logs by our host and by the service that serves our typefaces.
We do not collect precise geolocation, payment card numbers, government identifiers, biometric data, or any of the categories that state law treats as sensitive personal information. There is nothing to buy on this site, so we collect no commercial or transaction history. We do not build profiles or draw inferences about you.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you. Through the signup form on this site. That is the only place we ask you for anything.
Automatically. Through server logs kept by our website host and by the font service described below. This happens on any website you visit and is not unique to us.
From third parties. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not receive your information from data brokers, advertising platforms or social networks.
3. How we use it
- To send you the team news you asked for: roster announcements, draft results, schedule and match nights.
- To answer you if you write to us.
- To keep the site working and to investigate abuse or security problems.
- To meet a legal obligation, respond to lawful process, or establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not profile you for advertising.
4. Who processes it for us
These are the only third parties that handle information from this site. Each acts on our instructions as a service provider, under its own terms.
- Contact and messaging platform. Takes the signup form, holds the contact record, and sends the email and text messages you asked for.
- Website host and content delivery network. Stores and serves this site, and receives the standard request data any web host receives.
- Web font provider. Serves the typefaces, and receives your IP address in order to do it.
- Video platform. Serves the match video still image, and the player itself once you press play.
We describe these by what they do rather than by company name, because what matters to you is what happens to your information, not whose logo is on the invoice. If you want to know which companies they are, ask us and we will tell you.
We do not disclose your information to anyone else, except where the law requires it, or if the team is ever sold or merged, in which case your information would transfer with the business and this policy would continue to apply until you were told otherwise.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no retargeting tags and no session recording, from any provider. Nothing on this page follows you to another website.
The signup form is supplied by our contact platform and may set cookies necessary to make the form work and to guard against automated abuse. Our font provider receives your IP address in order to deliver the typefaces.
The match video. The still image you see before you press play is served by the video platform, which receives your IP address in order to send it. The player itself does not load until you press play. We use that platform's no-cookie player address, so it sets no advertising cookie, but once it loads it does receive your IP address and basic device information. If you never press play, the player never loads.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should answer it, so we do not respond to it specifically. This is moot in practice, because we do not track you across other websites in the first place.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your contact record for as long as you stay on the list. If you unsubscribe or reply STOP, we keep a minimal suppression record, meaning your email address or phone number and the date you opted out, so that we do not contact you again by mistake. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because deleting one would defeat its only purpose.
If you ask us to delete your information, we delete the contact record and retain only that suppression entry, unless the law requires us to keep something longer. Server logs are kept on our providers' standard schedules, which are measured in days and weeks rather than years.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the small amount of information we hold. The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to contact records is limited to the people who run the team's communications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Where it is held. Your information is held and processed in the United States. If you write to us from outside the United States, you are sending your information here, and it is handled under United States law.
If something goes wrong. If we find out that your personal information has been exposed, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires. We will tell you what happened, what was affected, and what we are doing about it.
8. Your rights and how to use them
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
- Know. Ask what information we hold about you.
- Correct. Ask us to fix something that is wrong.
- Delete. Ask us to erase your information.
- Take it with you. Ask for a copy in a portable format.
- Stop email. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message.
- Stop texts. Reply STOP to any message.
To make any of these requests, email [email protected]. We will confirm your request and respond within the time the law allows, normally 45 days. We may need to verify that the request really comes from you, usually by replying to the email address or phone number already on the record.
If we turn a request down, we will tell you why in writing. You can ask us to look at it again, and a different person will review it.
9. Text messaging program
Dallas Mustangs sends team news by text to people who ask for it: roster announcements, draft results, schedule changes and match nights. You join by entering your phone number on the signup form and agreeing to the disclosure shown next to it.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You will get one final message confirming that you are out, and then nothing further.
Reply HELP for help, or contact [SMS HELP PHONE NUMBER NEEDED] or [email protected].
Consent to receive marketing messages is not required to make a purchase, and it is not required for anything else either. There is nothing on this site to buy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is used to send you the messages you asked for, and for nothing else.
We do not send marketing messages between 9 PM and 8 AM in your local time. If you write to us, we may reply during business hours.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee either.
This messaging program is governed by this Privacy Policy and by our Terms of Use.
10. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Professional grappling has young fans, so we say this plainly: if you are under 13, please do not sign up. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it. If you are between 13 and 17, please get a parent or guardian's permission before joining the list.
11. California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you specific rights. This section explains them and restates what we do, in the form that law expects.
Categories we have collected in the last 12 months
- Identifiers. Name, email address, phone number, IP address.
- Internet or other electronic network activity. Pages loaded and standard server log data.
We have collected no other category. Specifically, we have collected no sensitive personal information, no geolocation, no biometric information, no commercial or purchase history, no education or employment information, and we have drawn no inferences to create a profile about you.
Where it came from
Directly from you through the signup form, and automatically from your browser through our host and font provider.
Why we collect it
To send the team news you asked for, to answer you, to keep the site running and secure, and to comply with law. Nothing else.
Who we disclose it to
Only the service providers named in section 4, and only so they can perform those services for us.
Sale and sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. This site runs no advertising or retargeting technology of any kind, which is what makes that statement possible. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Sensitive personal information
We do not collect it, so there is nothing to limit. The right to limit the use of sensitive personal information does not arise here.
How long we keep it
As described in section 6. We do not keep your information longer than needed for the purpose it was collected for.
Your California rights
- To know what we collect, use, disclose and sell or share.
- To delete personal information we collected from you.
- To correct inaccurate personal information.
- To opt out of sale or sharing. We do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- To limit use of sensitive personal information. We collect none.
- Not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email [email protected], or write to us at the postal address in section 13. We will verify your request against the information already on your record and respond within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days if we need to and telling you if so.
Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent. We will ask the agent for written proof that you gave them permission, and we may ask you to confirm it directly.
Do Not Sell or Share
Because we neither sell nor share personal information, there is no opt-out mechanism to offer and no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our footer. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect and the link will appear.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell the people on our list by email or text before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. How to reach us
